Are all countries the same?

I remember when COVID was present and because of it I always watched the news and updates.
I couldn't help but notice the things we were told to do and the people telling us not following there own rules.
And the prime minister back then got caught telling alot of lies, and even now members of the that party are still doing wrong.
My dad says you can't trust any of them and I am beginning to believe him now.
Do other countries have MPs like ours?
Like you never hear any scandal from countries like Norway, Finland, Switzerland and lots others or does it just not get reported here in the UK?

Certain people who are born into wealth and privilege and rarely have to face up to the consequences of their actions, begin to think they are above the common law and that they can bluff their way out of trouble by force of personality. There are normal, good people in public life, but the general election cannot come fast enough.

@SunshineGirl Yes, I would like to see some MPs from working class families or having been brought up on a council estate so they can see the real picture

@happygoluckygal The trouble is that BJ and co have never been dependent on state services and they have no natural understanding of the real difficulties that people face when those institutions are undermined.

Kier Starmer's (the next likely PM) dad was a toolmaker, as he keeps reminding anyone who will listen 🛠️

Has your daughter done anything funny yet this week😅? Did she remember all her school stuff on Monday?

@happygoluckygal He'll do just fine, he had a proper career as a civil servant before politics. He has some compassion.
