Far more of the frozen assets are in Europe. And I would expect that allies will do the same. Some economists see it as a bad move with the thinking that other countries will be less likely to invest in the U.S. I don't see it that way. Don't invade other countries and your money is safe. And if you're invaded, and an ally, the U.S. will be there.
