Major Crisis Reaches New Breaking Point – And New York City Hall Is Under Siege

Hundreds of illegal immigrants swarmed New York City’s City Hall on Tuesday afternoon to demand more aid from the city as well as work permits.

The majority of the group were single men and predominantly French-speaking from Haiti and Africa, according to Frontlines contributor Savanah Hernandez.

Around 1,300 people gathered outside of City Hall, with only 250 people being allowed inside for a 10 am hearing on “the black experience in the city shelter system,” the New York Post reported.

Over one thousand illegal immigrants from Haiti and Africa swarmed New York’s City Hall, demanding more aid from the broke city. Mayor Adams is already taking from the city’s budget to provide these migrants with housing, free food, clothing, and other accommodations.

Reports indicate that many migrants have destroyed entire hotels, thrown out free food, and used drugs in hallways. Communities have been overrun, parks have become tent cities, and much worse.

Yet the Democrats who run New York refuse to demand Biden to deport the thousands of illegals who are overwhelming the city. Now, this group—instead of being appreciative that they are still in America—is demanding that NYC give them more.

New York State has tried to offer illegals government jobs—which could have gone to Americans. Democrats have tried to bend the rules so migrants can register to vote. They have mortgaged U.S. citizens’ futures and freedom, to pander to this new group of second-class civilians. Yet they are still not happy.

@MarmeeMarch The leaders of New York have ideals and principles. BTW, what makes you think Haitian refugees aren't here legally while their asylum status is being considered?

@MarmeeMarch I didn't say one thing about Asian refugees either. I don’t know where you’re getting that from.

I did ask you what makes you think Haitian refugees aren't here legally while their asylum status is being considered, and you've ducked that question. Care to try again?

@MarmeeMarch
our out of control border and and immigration laws
And the two issues are closely related.

As written in the 1980s our immigration laws require a long process to make asylum decisions. And that has become a big loophole - a person can come to the border, request asylum, and stay in the US for several months or a year or more.

The Senate, in early 2024, produced a bipartisan bill to greatly streamline the asylum process. You remember what happened to that bill, right? Trump squashed it. The asylum issue has a fix and Trump doesn't want it implemented. SAD!

@ElwoodBlues When you get a spare minute from your hatred of the Constitutional Republic, look up HR 2 and then ask upchuck schumer what he did with the bill

@ElwoodBlues So in the meantime, ignore the laws already on the books to get more illegal aliens registered to vote, right?
@sunsporter1649 The underlying problem is our asylum laws need changing. what does the U.S. Code say about asylum requests? Here, lemme get you started.

(a) Authority to apply for asylum
(1) In general

Any alien who is physically present in the United States or who arrives in the United States (whether or not at a designated port of arrival and including an alien who is brought to the United States after having been interdicted in international or United States waters), irrespective of such alien’s status, may apply for asylum in accordance with this section or, where applicable, section 1225(b) of this title.

The Senate addressed the problem and responded with the bipartisan Senate bill. You know what happened to the bipartisan Senate bill: Trump threw a hissy fit and demanded it be quashed.

You're telling me the House should have negotiated on the bipartisan Senate border bill. Yeah, I already knew they should have ignored Trump and negotiated.

to get more illegal aliens registered to vote, right?
Poor sunstroke is reduced to silly lies because he can't point to a SINGLE "illegal alien" who voted in 2020, can't find a SHRED of support for his lies about a "stolen election."

@ElwoodBlues More bullschiff from a left-wing nut job marxist. upchuck schumer had a bill on his desk for 17 months and did nothing but claim the border is secure. You can't even get your bullschiff stories straight

@MarmeeMarch The problem I see is the hypocrisy of pretending to be a Christian nation and then turning a blind eye to all the suffering elsewhere in the world, or even adding to it. You can't have it both ways. You don't get to pick and choose the easy parts of the Bible.
