Democrats, the peace loving people that want unity?

The other day, my 68 year old neighbor went to our local grocery store, did her shopping of just a few items and was returning to her car in the parking lot.

She noticed that the small Trump flag she had on the car was broken off. She then started to put her bags in the car when this woman came up to her and started yelling obscenities at her for being a Trump supporter.

My neighbor told the woman that it was her right to support whoever she wanted and if she didn't like, she was free to leave. The woman then began pushing and shoving my neighbor while still yelling, berating and cursing at her. My neighbor was eventually knocked to the ground.

Someone, (obviously someone who didn't want to get involved,) must have called the police because they showed up rather quickly, but not quick enough.

After she threw my neighbor to the ground, she quickly left, so the police couldn't do anything about it. The policeman she spoke to, told my neighbor that this type of thing is becoming more and more common and that he thinks it's going to get worse as we get closer to the election.

IDK, if you want to challenge or sway someone's beliefs or opinions, it seems to me that violence will push them further away rather than bring them around to your way of thinking.

What is wrong with these Democrats? They want to de-fund the police, they want to riot and destroy cities, they want to release criminals out on the streets again with their no-bail policies, they support the lunacy that is Joe Biden, funding Ukraine, protesting for being pro-Gaza, and being anti-Israel, helping Palestine, Iran and Iraq.

I apologize for the lengthy post, but I had to vent about this.

Where'd this happen?

Something like that would surely make the news.

Tell us, so we can read the police report. It would be a public record.

Sadly, people attack others for all sorts of reasons. Yes, even non-political ones.

@beckyromero It happened at an ALDI grocery store parking lot in North Babylon, NY. The Suffolk County Police, (1st precinct,) responded to the call.

Something like that is disgusting. Regardless of who the attackers support or who the victim supports.

Things like that happen at sporting events all the time despite no elections being involved.

People who commit assault like that need to be locked up.
@IM5688 Gosh, I searched, and turned up this incident, possibly in the same ALDI parking lot:
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A disturbing altercation was caught on camera at a Cheektowaga grocery store recently.

You may have seen this video on social media. It shows a man using racist language toward the person filming.

. . .

The video shows a man yelling racist remarks at another man after what police say started with a "door ding" in the parking lot.

"It was reported as a hit-and-run. It wasn't a hit-and-run. The two cars were parked next to each other and one door opened into the other car. So a door ding is what this is over," said Captain Coons
This incident has video and a police report; your incident is second hand (you weren't there to see how it started). Regardless, it would be a mistake to draw any general conclusions about vast cohorts of people from either incident.
