It is already illegal for non-citizens to vote in federal elections, and it happens so rarely that it isn't an issue.

Next up, a Republican bill to prevent dead people from operating a motor vehicle.

Now that they have proven they can't legislate, the Republicans have to fabricate issues to vote on.

It seems to be quite a common theme, conservatives legislating badly/unneccessarily to highlight a particular issue close to their hearts. The UK government is currently trying to introduce a bill criminalising physical attacks on shop workers, as if this group was somehow excluded from tjr common law 🙄

A waste of everyone's time. It's not as if there is a lack of real social issues to legislate on.
