ARIZONA ABORTION LAW RETURNS TO 1864

The Arizona Supreme Court ruled Tuesday that a 160-year-old near-total abortion ban still on the books in the state is enforceable, a bombshell decision that adds the state to the growing lists of places where abortion care is effectively banned.

It wasnt even a state back then???

@Tastyfrzz What is your point? The Arizona Territory had laws prior to becoming a state of the Union. Let's not get technical and focus on the matter for discussion.
@sree251 Including laws like not chewing gum on the Sabbath and not tying up your horse in front of the Post Office. This obsolete and draconian abortion decision will be corrected soon enough, if not before November then shortly after when Democrats sweep the election.

The problem that the anti-abortion forces have is that they're a minority. You can't impose an unpopular law without consequences.

No one is making fun of your beliefs. You must have a few.

Why do you care? Do you need an abortion in a hurry? If not, you need to butt out. What's wrong with you people?
@sree251 There is a direct correlation between the availability of abortion and contraception in a given country, and the degree of liberty and prosperity. Most of the countries where abortion is legal are free and wealthy, and the ones where it's illegal are poor and authoritarian. So I want abortion to be available because I could be affected in that way.

Why do you care? You're already born and can't be aborted. You need to butt out. What's wrong with you people?
@sree251 Are we talking about dumb laws that were passed while slavery was still legal, or religious beliefs? I've already established that abortion doesn't have anything to do with Christianity, at least not in a religious sense. Abortion is only an issue in political Christianity. There's no protection for political beliefs.

You have not been around poor countries that are more free - with regard to abortion - than the USA. Try Mexico, Thailand, or the Philippine for starters. The movement behind "Cancel culture" is up to no good.
@sree251 Mexico and Thailand are way ahead of us in this area. I don't know why you mentioned the Phillippines; that country has some of the harshest anti-abortion laws in the world. However, the exceptions don't change the general correlation. For example, abortion is illegal in Malta, but Maltese women have an abortion rate similar to other EU countries. They simply go to Italy for abortions.

Assuming you couldn't live in the US, please list the countries you would want to live in where abortion is illegal.

You are talking to a vegan about eating meat. It's such an obnoxious topic.
@sree251 That makes no sense. Well, I guess it makes sense to you.

It's a simple question. The answer is either a country where abortion is illegal, or one where it's legal because you don't want to live in any of the ones where it's illegal.
