Could be next century. Nobody says when.

And NATO isn't the EU. That would have to come first.

Talk about counting chickens before the eggs are laid.

The bear knows the difference between a bees nest and a hornet's nest BTW. No honey for one.

The EU is the honey jar for them. Not the USA or only NATO.
@DeWayfarer It sounds mostly about keeping the propaganda alive.

And well you are right NATO and the EU are not the same. And joining the EU is not a requirements so not sure what you mean by it happening first.

Joining the EU was also the bullshit pretext for the 2014 coup. There is a reason it was shelved immediately. It would have crashed the Ukrainian economy 10 years ago before any wars.

Now the Ukrainian economy is basically money from the USA. They cannot even afford to operate their government without outside funding.

They also just lost one of their few remaining economic centres in Kharkov.

Plus now that the US has gotten Europe to commit economic suicide people fleeing the EU is far more likely.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow even Finland isn't apart of NATO. Yet it is now apart of the EU! Ukraine will not be apart of NATO within the next century, simply because of that!

You better hope that the EU doesn't fall! Even Turkey is apart of the EU.

Enough said.
@DeWayfarer Turkey has been a member of NATO for decades so not sure what that or anything else has to do with anything. But NATO expansion is why this mess started to begin with.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I'm talking about the extent of EU on that part!

It's more than just Europe as well!
@DeWayfarer True. And the two have tracked rather closely since the 90s. The simple fact is though this conflict will render both the EU and NATO irrelevant.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow so you would do nothing? Let Russia expand in a unlimited manner? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Don't forget there's the Bering Straights, Alaska and Canada.
@DeWayfarer To pretending this is all on Russia is ignoring 30 years of history to push a political narrative and no serious discussion can happen when the conversation is forced within that narrative.

And however you feel about it this conflict have rendered both organizations irrelevant. And that has all been the doing of the West.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow this narrative is about Russian aggression.

And to go further there's Mongolia as well. The only reason it hasn't started there is China has the same plans!

Russia won't take on China before they already have resources from the EU.

Those two are not as friendly as it seems. They both put on a very good drama though.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I can understand your distaste for capitalism. Yet I in no way can support dictator's.

Both Russia and China are dictatorships. NOTHING MORE!

Aggression is their goal! Whether is physically (Russia) or other methods (China) both are aggressive dictatorships.

It's why China took over Tibet! It's why China was involved in Afghanistan! It's why China ATTACKED even India! It's why China wants Taiwan, it's why they claim the whole South China sea on down to the Philippines.

Heck they even are having disputes with Vietnam, and Vietnam is a so called communist country!

I have no love for capitalism yet dictatorships are only far worse!

The whole reason why there's an alliance, similar to NATO, between South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, the Philippines and Australia is because of Chinese aggression!

Notice the USA is not involved, nor is ANY EU countries.
