@Handfull1 You're right. They are both controversial. But what I feel might be the difference is that the majority of younger people yelling "genocide" couldn't point to Gaza on a map. They can point to a lifetime with an unplanned or severely disabled child.

@Handfull1 Yeah. I'd like to think that the idea of freedoms being eroded, and women not having autonomy over their bodies, would take precedent in a national election in the eyes of younger people. I guess we'll see.

@Handfull1 I think that's a rock-solid point. At times it just feels like raging to rage and it's understandable. But it doesn't reflect the realities and complexities of the situation. "Biden supports genocide" is foolish and, IMO, dangerous language. But who knows what the landscape will look like in November. We used to sort of be able to rely on a certain level of consistency. That's all off the table now.

So, a vote for the Dems will continue the destruction in the Levant but will ensure that women have the right to abortions. A vote for the Repubs will result in then continued destruction of the Levant but end abortions.
