I think selling the Bible was a big F U to Christians. He was most likely counciled by Stephem Miller to hold the bible upside down in his photoshoot in front of the church. "It will get more attention, more press."
@Pitchblue Even "the base" recognizes he was just reading a teleprompter line when he said the Bible is his favourite book and he has several around his house.
