White House Defends Biden’s Proclamation Of ‘Transgender Day Of Visibility’ Amid Backlash As It Falls On Easter Sunday

President Joe Biden responded to criticism coming from his decision to mark March 31 as “Transgender Day of Visibility,” which coincides with Easter Sunday this year, with the White House standing by the president’s remarks in a new statement.

White House spokesman Andrew Bates released a statement saying those critical of Biden’s inclusiveness message are trying to further divide the country.

“As a Christian who celebrates Easter with family, President Biden stands for bringing people together and upholding the dignity and freedoms of every American,” Bates said in a statement. “Sadly, it’s unsurprising politicians are seeking to divide and weaken our country with cruel, hateful and dishonest rhetoric. President Biden will never abuse his faith for political purposes or for profit.”

He does not attempt to bring people together even if he did proclaim TVD. He’s an extremely divisive politician. It was a statement he made on being inaugurated, something he dropped like a bad habit once he was in office.

@soar2newhighs Someone told me that he went to the hospital last week here to have some tests run. He went to the bathroom and there was a Joe Biden sticker stuck to the inside of a urinal so it would get peed on. 😂
