democrats versus republicans in usa hatred,

why do democrats and republicans in usa hate each other so much, inuk we have three major parties, but we dont hate each other, if somebody says they vote conservative i dont start a hate filled tirade, its a free country, people can vote how ever they want, but in usa its different i regularly see hatred shown by both sides, screaming videos, when actually both usa parties are two sides to the same coin, in uk we have conservative and labour/socialist, and labour is going to win the next election for sure, so why?

Probably because the Republicans have become radically far-right. My parents used to have a lot of right-leaning friends who would vote either Republican or Democrat, depending on who the candidate was. But they say today's Republicans are nothing like they were back then. Which makes sense, there's never been a Republican who tried to overthrow Democracy because they lost an election, like Trump did. If you look at old news videos of Republicans, they were moderate and sane.

So yeah, I think we're just at that point where the Republicans have become like the Alternative für Deutschland. They're a party that shouldn't be seen as acceptable, despite being mainstream.
