Are you woke?

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I'm well aware of injustice, hypocrisy, inequities, double standards, unfairness and all kinds of stuff like that, on account of the fact that I've been on both sides of the proverbial coin.

I know the ancient "golden rule" of "do unto others as you would have others do unto you" and despite believing that is a rule that applies to everybody, I'm well aware that there are in fact, many who quote that rule, but very few, if any who abide by it, or at the very least, choose to abide by the aforementioned rule whenever they feel like it.

Now I can easily say, by my own admission, That People have been unfair to me for one reason or another and in turn, I've been unfair to some people I know, albeit sometimes unintentionally, but I don't think, grammatically speaking, "woke" is a proper adjective for "being aware of injustice."

In fact, grammatically speaking, "woke" is an adverb and an antonym, being the opposite of "slept."

Some exemplary sentences being: "I woke up this morning," or "he woke me up from a nap."

"Woke" is grammatically in the past tense, whereas in the present tense, it's "awake" or "awakening," as in "he is wide awake."

Or used in the future tense, it's "He will be awakening soon."

There are many more past, present and future tense examples of which I could use "woke," "awoke," "wake," "awake," "awakening," "sleep," "asleep," "sleeping," and "slept," but to spend my time putting every conceivable example of how to use these in every sentence my mind can conjure up would mentally drain me to a state of sleep.
