Why do Republicans want “Civics” classes to replace “Social Studies” classes in schools?

Republicans hate all things civic-minded after all, it’s not like one of those subjects ought to be more friendly territory for right wingers than the other.

Democrats want kids schooled that they may not be the gender they actually are. And of course Democrats will fight tooth and nail for abortion (baby-killing) and "gender-affirming care" - involving castration and mutilation - for children.
