Supreme Court stopped Colorado from disqualifying Trump's presidential run.

This is a major blow to Trump haters throughout the nation.

The SCOTUS effectively stopped the state of Colorado from denying its citizens the right to express their political preference for a presidential candidate.
That if allowed would be true voter suppression and it would have crossed all religious, political, and gender lines.

@soar2newhighs Then why did Jena Griswold try to stop Trump? She is a Juris Doctor of Law. This is the problem with the USA. The justice system is stacked with qualified professionals as judges and state attorneys with power to destroy people, and they don't practice the law.
@sree251 Apparently she (Ms. Griswold) felt Trump committed an insurrection and attempted to use the 14th amendment to get him removed from the ballot.
He was never charged with insurrection though many have accused him of that.

The fact that she is a Juris doctor of law does not necessarily mean she is as versed in law and legal matters as her title may lead some to believe.

@soar2newhighs You know what? I believe she knows how the law reads and how it works but she is crooked. Like Judge Engoron, she knows the law and uses it like a knife for cutting out that pound of flesh.
@sree251 That’s not unusual for those in the judicial; we put our trust in. The judge, Engoron ( reported to be a one time cab driver in NYC) reminds me of the judge overseeing the trial dealing with the death of Anna Nicole Smith. A clown!
But Engoron pretty much convicted Trump and associates of fraud before the trial even started. IMO that will come back to haunt him. And others…Fani Willis and her lover. I think they’re in deep trouble too.

@soar2newhighs Well, I am glad you see Judge Engoron the way I see him. And that State Attorney, Letitia James. How did this country get a justice system stack with these low lives? We are no better than the Congo.
@sree251 IMO many of the people we have, and I direct my remarks at the democrats like James, Bragg, Willis all in the judicial who I believe colluded with the WH to go after Trump; you can rest assured, don’t have pristine pasts. Ms. Willis showed us that.
An example is Sen. Menendez of NJ. ( not involving trump) Currently under the thumb of the feds for his activities. Look at mayor Adams of NYC . He’s also being watched very closely by the feds. Two people who worked for him raided by the FBI. The feds even stopped Adams and seized his cell phones.
To be fair, there are Republicans too whose pasts are questionable if not unlawful.

You can throw the FBI into the mix of dirty rotten scoundrels, the CIA also. Come to think of it, even the President - left or right - is unclean. What about you, and me?
@sree251 I can speak for myself. I’m human, I have flaws, but I haven’t fallen to the depths of the “politician”.

Colorado has no citizens because it is not a sovereign state. It has residents who are US citizens with rights to choose a presidential candidate but no right to stop any US citizens from running for President. Colorado has no rights, as a non-sovereign state, to bar any US Citizen from running for president. Jurisdiction of Colorado's supreme court is limited to legal matters pertaining to the territory of Colorado.

Yes, I see that quote in the text of the 14th Amendment. This is why we have apellate and supreme courts to deliberate on the meaning of the law which is an ass.

The bottom line is this: Trump can run for President, and the folks with the Colorado decision can stuff it.
