Ever been to Eagle Pass? Hundreds enter daily to work in the US....then at the end of the workday, they exit and return to Mexico.

@JSul3 I believe that. I think this border issue is not what it is made to seem and deliberately played up to stir up sheep.

@sree251 You would think the 'invasion' videos would run 24/7 on Fox News.

@JSul3 The southern border runs through the middle of some towns and even houses. One could be in Mexico in the kitchen and the US on the front porch.

@sree251 That is why a wall is not the answer.

@sree251 Do my eyes deceive me? You're on the right side of this issue?
sree251 · 41-45, M
@JSul3 No, it is not. The only "wall" is the resolve of American citizens to deal with the immigration issue. We leave it to our politicians, and they don't care about the problem which is not about keeping non-citizens out. It is about making sure that everyone living in American territory is accounted for and catered to by our social system. This means that people are properly housed and gainfully employed, their children are provided for in schools, and everyone has access to public facilities.

@sree251 Voter apathy may bring an end to democracy and the republic.

@JSul3 You said: "Voter apathy may bring an end to democracy and the republic."

This is not going to happen. Voter apathy affects only a small percentage (5%) of the population, people like me who see thru the chicanery. The majority of the population (80%) are too bogged down with their personal lives and have no time for politics and other distractions. The remaining folks (15%) are the ones driving the nation to its doom. It all began with 56 people in 1776.

@sree251 Do you have any idea how many millions of people didn't vote in the last election? Like a hundred. A hundred million.
JSul3 · 70-79
@sree251 My state...Texas....leads the nation in voter apathy.

More Americans voted in 2020 than in any other presidential election in 120 years. About 67% of eligible voters cast ballots this year, but that still means a third did not.

That amounts to about 80 million people who stayed home.

@JSul3 Okay, 80 mil. My bad.

@LordShadowfire Approx. number....no big deal.
We need to know how many have now become eligible voters and are actually registered to vote in '24.
