Well sure, ideally, but it’s not an easy problem to fix, and it has plagued previous administrations too. Democrats demonstrated their desire to solve the problem by writing a bill to attempt to solve the border crisis [i]exactly the way Republicans said they wanted it resolved[/i], and Republicans killed the bill because they are beholden to Donald Trump who told them to kill it because he calculated that it’s politically more advantageous to him to leave the border crisis as a campaign issue he can use to clobber President Biden with.
