Biden may make gaffes, but he doesn’t forget his wife’s name, unlike Trump

During a speech in Washington, Trump applauded his wife, then referred to her as Mercedes.

He said how people love her before adding, “Oh look at that, Mercedes, that’s pretty good!”

The slip at the Conservative Political Action Conference fuelled debate over lapses by both Trump and Biden. Dr John Gartner, a former professor at Johns Hopkins Medical School argued that it was Trump, not Biden, who is showing signs of dementia.

“There is this focus on Biden’s gaffes, that are well within the normal limits of ageing. But this is a tale of two brains. Biden’s is ageing, Trump’s is dementing” he said.

And yet America is probably going to re-elect Trump anyway…Wake up!!

...tells everyone to "Wake up" while he promotes left wing propaganda.

It's not a good strategy, constantly pointing fingers back at the other guy. It looks desperate and seems like a distraction to take the focus off Biden's dementia.

@SumKindaMunster Sadly, it's Trump who is clearly in the stages of advanced dementia. There is no evidence whatsoever that Biden is senile, unless, of course, you count the "evidence" from the many many MANY far-right sites that just spew indoctrination from every syllable. You're clearly indoctrinated yourself.

@SW-User You guys are really being led off the cliff of reality aren't ya? And its not just the right wing. Here's Nate Silver calling out Biden's handlers:
Third, yes, it’s become even clearer that Biden’s age is an enormous problem for him. As many as 86 percent of Americans say he’s too old in one poll, though numbers in the 70-to-75 percent range are more common — still an overwhelming majority in a bitterly-divided country. There’s also been recent bad news for Biden on this front. In the past couple of weeks:

A special counsel report characterized Biden as a “well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory”;

In response to the special counsel report, Biden conducted an impromptu press conference in which, defending himself against allegations of memory loss, he confused the names of the leaders of Egypt and Mexico and was defiant with reporters in a way that — yes, this latter part is subjective — I doubt many impartial observers would say came across well.
@SumKindaMunster are you kidding me?? That’s all Trump does. Why can’t people just admit that both sides have positives and negatives. Successes and failures. If more could work together, our country might just get better. Very sad!

@SumKindaMunster I can agree that he is a well meaning elderly man with a poor memory. That does not mean he has dementia. Trump, however, clearly does.

@SumKindaMunster Trump also agrees with Putin that Biden would be the better president. Fact.

@SW-User You're just trying to be funny right?🤣

@SW-User Better for Putin.

@SumKindaMunster I’m trying. I might lean left but sure don’t pretend they’re perfect. I disagree on many issues. Can MAGA followers say the same? Trump can do no wrong in many of their eyes. That’s what makes him dangerous. I have never felt the same with any other Republican President so you can’t blame it all on partisan loyalty.

Jesus Christ, this might be the saddest, deluded Bidet ball washing yet

@sladejr Incognito?? 🙄🙄

@sladejr prove he’s senile. I’ll wait
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Handfull1 Hm, not trying very hard. Do you practice empathy? As in, can you put yourself in another's shoes and see their perspective? Doesn't mean you agree, but you understand.

Can you do that for Trump supporters? Let me hear you give a perspective of a typical Trump supporter. Why do they continue to support Trump even through all this drama? What do you think?
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@SW-User Well to do that, we'd need to give him some cognitive tests that he is either refusing to do, or we don't know the results. I think Biden supporters should demand this. That's much better than pointing your finger at Trump and saying he is the one with dementia.
Handfull1 · 61-69, F
@SumKindaMunster am guessing they both do!
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Handfull1 I'm sorry what?
Handfull1 · 61-69, F
@SumKindaMunster they both have cognitive problems.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Handfull1 Ok. Thanks. And my request for an expression of empathy to Trump supporters? You gonna reply to that?
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Handfull1 So no to the request for empathy? You aren't going to respond?
Handfull1 · 61-69, F
@SumKindaMunster in reality, I’m not sure why people admire him. Personally, I think it’s fear of the country and world changing quickly. Many of his supporters are older white men that are seeing their power dwindle around them. Humans are not fond of change or loss of control. And yes, I’m actually too empathetic for my own good. I even have empathy for Trump a bit. Something happened in his childhood to make him like this. At times, a glimmer of sadness shows through. I wasn’t avoiding your question. I didn’t see it.
Handfull1 · 61-69, F
@SumKindaMunster I didn’t see the question. I’m not one to cower and run away.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Handfull1 I'm not sure this really qualifies. Empathy is understanding, you aren't really taking a Trump supporters position by saying they are old and afraid. Perhaps that is true for some of them, but that doesn't explain his support outside of the demographic group you identified...

Thanks for responding, no worry about missing the question.
Handfull1 · 61-69, F
@SumKindaMunster I did say many, not all. And empathy is feeling what someone might feel to the best of our knowledge. None of us can ever know exactly unless we go through something. Even then, we’re all individuals and unique. I did say I wasn’t sure. Maybe that’s the part that gets to me. Many Trump supporters are 100% certain. That does borderline a cult. It’s dangerous.

That's fair.

I disagree, that's the way its portrayed by the media. You could make this statement about any politician or famous person's followers. Some of them are extreme, but most are just regular people. Same with Trump supporters.
