When people talk about their politics here it’s always weird and hard to believe when someone is all right or all left.

It might be a condition caused by American two horse politics. But I believe if a person is judging for themselves what’s right for their country and the people who live there then it would be some policies from both sides of the line.

My political beliefs if plotted on a scatter chart would be almost half and half, [b]because I don’t care which team gets elected so long as their policies are what I perceive to be the best thing going forward.[/b]

This doesn’t mean I lack resolve or the conviction to vote for what I believe in. It means I understand that the challenges facing the people in my country change and so I look to see who has what approach. Of course it’s no guarantee the party I vote for will actually deliver it - far from it.

But when I cast a vote, it’s a pledge of support for a set of conditions I think will best serve me, my family and my community, because that’s my country. Not a flag, a history and absolutely never a political party.

Very few people are one way about everything. I have both conservative and liberal viewpoints, which would potentially get me blowtorched by everyone, so I usually don't engage politically here, especially with the mental giants who employ the suffix "tard".

No party speaks for me, and what's more, I simply cannot consider that any politician gives a fuck about any of us--at least not without my stifling a chuckle, anyway. Too many things stink to high heaven.

It's a lesser of two evils game, and what I've seen in the past few years gives me the piss shivers.
