The responses are the very reason there’s the riff there is between everyone “I’d never speak to someone who votes _____ way”

Welp if you don’t talk you’ll just lock yourself into a single way of thinking.

Communication is important opposing views are important because COMPROMISE is important.

Can’t compromise without communication. People are treating their political affiliations like they’re cults lately.

It’s ridiculous.

@Procrastablogger that's good when both parties know how to compromise and know how to do so in good faith. Over the last couple decades we've been in a state where one group comes out with a compromise to open, the other side opens with more than they actually want, and then they force a compromise at the spot the initially wanted. And then the people supporting the groups making the deals feel like compromise isn't important because one side rarely gets what they want and the other side rarely has to actually budge on positions.
