Not looking to open a can of worms here but what on earth do you make of todays ICJ ruling ?

Listening to the summing-up made absolutely no sense to me.
The court stopped short of doing anything to either aid the idea of ceasefire or apportion blame directly and order a retreat.

Typical UN -- ineffectiveness on display.

@ChipmunkErnie I know it's not a good idea to imagine the U:N or the I:C:J as some sort of 'fair-play-amongst-all-peoples criminal court system' but if members in both U:N and I:C:J keep creating flowery; non-blame; statements as people die from indiscriminate and collateral damage as a result of an aggressors actions, then the I:C:J is no good either is it.

@Picklebobble2 But is it "indiscriminate" or is it targeted at HAMAS installations and assets which are using civilians as human shields? You want to see indiscriminate, look at the WWII carpet bombings are the napalming of entire villages during the Vietnam conflict, or even Russia's targeting of apartment complexs in Ukraine with no military justification. Israel is being much more restricted than any of those.

@ChipmunkErnie I have to agree completely with your statement. Many of the indiscriminate bombings from the allies were a travesty in my opinion. Look at the Dresden fire bombing and it makes you weep. What was the desired result? There was no justification at least for the Dresden situation. Israel, in my opinion, is handling this properly. These old curmudgeons at the ICJ are out of touch and essentially irrelevant.
