Why would an individual choose to establish a home in Florida? I'm attempting to find the attraction.

It appears that the local news is always entertaining...

@Thodsis Let’s see what crime Matty G did in the NW Panhandle tonight! Did it involve drunk driving, underage trafficking, or drugs? Perhaps all three!

@KunsanVeteran I'll take the petty crimes of the Florida panhandle over the crime spree in blue states. In Florida it is ILLEGAL to take a dump on the sidewalk and leave heroin needles everywhere, (something San Francisco doesn't seem to have a problem with.) Florida isn't emptying out its prisons because of some bullshit civil rights crap. While inferior blue state shitholes like California INVITE illegal aliens to come in, jam up the welfare rolls and deal drugs all over the place, Florida is unique in that we ship our illegal aliens to blue states like New York, Illinois and even Martha's Vineyard. Wanna see what life was like during JIM CROW all white country clubs? Just imagine the look on those racist faces there when the ILLEGALS arrived.

@Reason10 Glad you feel that you are well represented in the House by Mattie boy. You know, The House—where his fellow Republicans say that he was opening watching porn. What is it that you feel qualifies him? His drug use, his DUI that his parents abused their offices to help avoid facing charges, his Wingman sexual predator, or his interstate sex trafficking of a minor?

Weird definition of “petty” that you subscribe to.
@Reason10 Isn't Florida full of Cubans? 99% of them are here illegally. Why aren't you supporting deporting them?

So far, Representative Gaetz has not broken any laws. He has been accused, but no evidence of wrongdoing has been brought forward.

[c=BF0000]The Justice Department will not pursue charges against Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., after a yearslong probe into sex trafficking allegations.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, Gaetz's office confirmed that "the Department of Justice has confirmed to Congressman Gaetz’s attorneys that their investigation has concluded and that he will not be charged with any crimes."[/c]

@independentone A couple of things:
1. Florida is NOT "full of Cubans." The Miami Dade area is where the Cuban population mostly resides.
2. Those are not ILLEGAL aliens. They were INVITED to come here by Jimmy Carter in the late Seventies. Because of his invitation, Castro EMPTIED HIS PRISONS on the Mariel Boatlift. That factor turned Miami from a beautiful tourist destination into a drug trafficking drive by shooting hell hole.

3. There are a lot of Spanish speaking people in Florida, MOSTLY LEGAL IMMIGRANTS. Central Florida has an enormous population of Brazilian, Puerto Rican and Dominican immigrants. A lot of housing developments marketed homesites to Puerto Ricans. Small rural towns like Arcadia have very large Mexican populations, these being made up of migrant workers, many of whom got their citizenship, worked very hard and bought farms of their own. These are all peaceful, law abiding citizens and we're happy to have them.
