NYC Mayor Makes Unthinkable Decision – Now 1 Terrible Disaster May Be Imminent

"New York Mayor Eric Adams made good on his promise to slash the city budget when on Thursday he announced sweeping measures that will free police hiring, close libraries on Sundays, and take other drastic measures all to pay for the massive illegal immigrant influx caused by Joe Biden’s border disaster.

New York Mayor Eric Adams is reportedly slashing $110 billion from the city’s budget to pay for housing, food, and other benefits to illegal immigrants. Adams had been demanding funds from Washington to take care of these migrants.

Instead, the federal government is seemingly retaliating against the Democrat, in the form of an FBI investigation.

Adams will be taking billions from the police department, issuing a hiring freeze at a time when police numbers are already too low. He is also taking money away from other needed services, like libraries and education.

Adams appears to be blaming the federal government for this move. He also threatened that these deep cuts are “only the beginning.” New York is currently facing a crime and homeless epidemic. Like many other blue cities, the city has seen a dramatic rise in crime, thanks to progressive policies.

The city might see more problems, with these cuts. Residents of New York have become increasingly angry over the migrant crisis. They oppose shelters from being built in their neighborhoods, even as Democrat leaders lecture them on the need to welcome these migrants.

Critics have been merciless to Democrat mayors like Adams. While complaining that thousands of migrants are overrunning their cities, none of these mayors have called on the federal government to enforce immigration laws and deport them."

My response to Adams: "Suck it up buttercup. The city you represent is a sanctuary city welcoming illegals. That's what New Yorkers want. Quit your whining and do what you need to do, but don't expect the rest of us to pay for New York's stupidity by demanding federal funds. Instead, join the fight to deal with the border crisis, and eliminate your ridiculous sanctuary city status and become part of the US again".

Adams:
NYC is a sanctuary city.

Also Adams:
Just kidding about ☝️

@BizSuitStacy NYC can seize Madison Square Garden, the Javits Center, the Metro Museum of Art through eminent domain and convert all this to housing for illegals. It's a right-to-shelter city, after all. These illegals are entitled to housing, as per NYC rules. Central Park also can be plowed over and used for construction of illegals housing. NYC taxpayers each will pay a 4-5-figure assessment to pay for this housing, to show they're not racist.

@graphite I love this. It's what New Yorkers want isn't it? You can't simply talk the talk without walking the walk.

@carpediem It's more important that NYC embrace diversity and show its not racist than to have basketball, concerts, business or political conferences, art exhibits, parklands. These properties must be developed for housing for illegals, with NYC's loving non-racist taxpayers picking up the tab .

@graphite Works for me. But already they're crying for federal funding. If New Yorkers don't like housing in Javits or MSG, then change the local law. And put pressure on the dipstick at 1600 to follow the immigration laws.

I swear, democrats and their stupidity are ruing the country.

@carpediem Democrats are doing what they always do - blaming Democrat-created problems on Republicans. It's not Democrats' fault for fully opening our border, it's Greg Abbott's fault for busing some of these illegals to these major sanctuary cities, since Texas is overwhelmed with them. Apparently, a lot of the illegals are making their way to these cities on their own, with no assistance from Texas. And why not? NYC is a "right to shelter" city, where provision of shelter is some sort of right. Well, it's time to convert frivolous-use facilities like sports arenas, parks, and art museums into housing for these illegals, on the tab of NYC's Democrat voters.
