We don't have center right any more. We have far right and extreme far right.

@windinhishair That's what it seems like. If you don't go along with the conspiracy theory election-was-stolen crap, you are labeled RINO. In other words, those on the right don't think you belong on the right at all. Pre Iraq war I would have called myself center-right now in political debates with right leaning folks, I am called a "leftist", yet my positions haven't really changed.

@trollslayer You may have been center right in the past, but as you note center right isn't even right any more compared to the far right wing and even more extreme right wing fascists like the House Freedom Caucus. It is so odd that the country has moved so far right compared to 50 years ago.

@windinhishair Reagan himself would be called a RINO today
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@trollslayer Yes. I have made that point myself on here. Reagan would not have had a political career today as he would have been primaried by far right-wing politicians.

@windinhishair And we have left and far left. That divide can't be resolved.

@Strictgram Democrats can govern with their center-left and left. Republicans cannot govern. Period. Just look at the House and Republicans like Tuberville in the Senate.
