The French Have the Right Idea. Banning Pro-Hamas 'Protests'

There's no place for protests of hate or for support of terrorists.

the USA isn't about to do away with the Bill of Rights. just keeping them out of the country in the first place would have been the proper idea.

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

You see, that is ALSO part of the Constitution.

So is this:

Article III
Section 3
Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.

And in the Bill of Rights (which are the original amendments to the Constitution), the Ninth Amendment reads:

"The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

All of which is why I do not believe that facsists have any right of "free speech" when they advocate the violent overthrown of the U.S. government (and therefore of its Constitution) or when their hate speech advocates attacks against others.

@beckyromero The courts have declared that neo-Nazi groups have the right to hold protests and parades and whatnot. How are Pro-Hamas protests any worse?

@beckyromero well I'm not a legal scholar but maybe they could break up the protests because they're just rage filled hate fests calling for the violent destruction of other people. good point. we would need to wake the f up really fast though and there are those liberals who would defend the pro Hamas lunatics.

Hamas killed dozens of Americans and took many more hostage, no doubt torturing them.

If the U.S. declared war on Hamas, you just watch how fast pro-Hamas "sympathizers" in the U.S. would be arrested.

Just as German American Bund members were arrested during World War II for their pro-Nazi "free speech" views.

@beckyromero People don’t get arrested for displaying the Confederate flag. They were always an enemy of the US.
