Don't try to justify this behaviour.

That does not surprise me in the least. Like ISIS and Bokul Harun, Hamas has no morals or scruples, and places no value on human life - except their own.

Even before that tactic was found, it was soon clear that Hamas' attack intended to kill as many people as possible, male and female, young and old, irrespective of any military or political significance.

No morals, no scruples, and though these gangs would fight desperately if up against a genuine military force, no courage and no self-respect.

In religious triggered wars this is a common strategy I would think. The goal is to not increase the population of the religion they're against.
