Why is Netanyahu still the Israeli Prime Minister ?

@RodionRomanovitch Well, could be wrong of course. I think he's horrible, it's just that people tend to rally around the leader in a crisis. Similar to George Bush after 9/11. For a while anyway.

@Bumbles It's probably secured his position in the short term but I don't see how a fuck-up of this magnitude doesn't go unpunished. Golda Meir was out of office six months after the Yom Kippur war. I expect Bibi will be too.

@RodionRomanovitch Interesting, did not know that. People have lost large sums of money predicting Bibi's downfall before. Their "no water, no fuel" defense minister may be in the hot seat, too. Seems too many troops were in the West Bank...
