Israel has been more brazen with the Palestinian territories in the past couple of years because of its increasingly radical government. The entire conflict is the most heated its been since 2005 with Israel going whole hog on settling West Bank and doing constant raids to do brave things like kill teenagers and demolish schools.
There's been hundreds of Palestinians killed, and dozens of Israelis killed. A big surprise attack is an obvious thing to see coming considering the past year.
Like I'm not interested in defending Biden - he sucks - but the notion that Biden showed up and Israel became a sitting duck for the evil terrorists is the stupidest fucking read of this situation. Israel is more aggressive than its been in recent memory.
