I'm in England so not directly involved in this spat. I'm no lover of McCarthy but I did think he had a very valid point when he said that he was standing up for the American people while Gaetz was stuck in the school playground with his childish behaviour. Only the already-poor would suffer most if there was a Federal government shutdown.
