Ynotisay I cant find a word wrong with what you say. BUT. Reagan is also largely resonsiblbe for the financial ruin of the Soviet Union that led to its break up, through the Star Wars Program.. The Russinas had a well established pipeline of tech espionage that got them the latest in US military hardware and allowed them to copy, without the research cost. Reagan brought in scientists and Science Fiction authors to "imagine" the next generation of weapons. Plasma weapons, rail guns and the like and the platforms that would carry then, which bypassed all the current industry and procurement connections and threw the Russians into a panic. They had to try to "copy" these items from scratch, believing America actually had something. It was in fact more than a decade before a practical rail gun was created and its still in development.. But the funding of this effort in Russia starved the military of funds to maintain its current levels and made it impractical to "protect " the soviet bloc nations, leading to the break up..
