@Lilnonames he was in a band called Darts, who were pretty successful over here for awhile, but now only old gits like me remember them.

@SpudMuffin I Googled the ear incident and what a surprise, no mention on line. He dived into the audience at a gig and bit part of a guy's ear off but there was never any mention of 'why?' Darts were also frequently on Tiswas and they did a sketch where a song ended in a mock fight Hegerty went down on the floor and rose up like Jaws in front of the camera with a fake ear in his mouth. My brother and I almost died laughing.

@GeniUs I thought that happened, but you're right, there's no mention of it anywhere. Maybe an entire generation had a collective hallucination!
I hadn't seen the Tiswas sketch, sounds hilarious, I'm heading off to YouTube to check it out.

@SpudMuffin I had a look but can't find it on Yout, has it been airbrushed from history or are we suffering the Mandela Effect? I'm pretty sure my bro' would definitely say it if I asked, "what's the first thing that comes to mind if I say Den Hegerty?"
