Absolutely. Knowing how someone feels for others or society at large says a lot on how they'll treat you eventually.

@Elessar so and so is a real nice person, he's just not a real big fan of interracial couples

@deadgerbil "Don't judge a book by its cover" 🤪

@Elessar lemme just whip out the centrist card

@deadgerbil The Left has gone a bit too political correct, so I've changed all my opinions about economy, social issues, systemic racism, healthcare and history
@deadgerbil What in the name of distorted understanding of the world is that cartoon?

@BritishFailedAesthetic There's absolutely an abudance of "centrists" like that lol

I know I'm portrayed like the above so another reason to leave this toxic section, hopefully I'll have the discipline to just stick to religion...... and Nimbus. 😅

@BritishFailedAesthetic Brilliant. People like that are the one's who will lead us into fascism or a climate change apocalypse. I'm not even joking.
@Burnley123 Thanks for some more motivation.... I can see I'm not wanted here.

@BritishFailedAesthetic Sigh. Meta political questions should start with what you value and what you want in a society and work outwards from there.

I just reject the idea that the truth always lies in the centre as a logical fallacy. The Overton Window changes over time and is different in different countries.

Also, the modern polarisation of European and American politics is asymmetrical. There are also many in the political centre who engage rudely and refuse to compromise. Those hardcore People's Vote campaigners would be a classic British example.

@BritishFailedAesthetic There's centrist and "centrist"; virtually everyone minus the extremities of the political line have a more or less important component of centrism. The purpose of those menes isn't bashing centrism as a whole, but those who hide behind a fake pretense or centrism their sympathies for the far-right, appearing as "neutral" to an untrained eye. Be it not to lose friends, not to pass for a lunatic or even just to continue getting laid, anyone has their valid reasons. They're actually not really much centrists, hence the double quotes.
