Question for the "liberal" folks on here

I can say that I have never followed a Left-leaning commentator, whether TV, radio, podcast, youtube, whatever. I've watched a few clips to see what they were about, or for general amusemnt, but never saw the point of listening again or following them. All those left leaning commentators on CNN? Never watched. Never really got into Stephen Colbert or the Daily Show back when they were big 15-20 years ago. I hardly, if ever, watch TV news. If I listen to radio news, it is usually NPR because they are the only ones not yelling, and if they are biased at least they go into depth from multiple sides. I will read any new story online that I find interesting and comes across my feed or links posted to social media (such as here). Basically, I don't care for news "opinion", as I don't feel that those giving the opinion have any more credentials toward the truth than I do.

Conversely, I have noticed that conservatives on here or elsewhere source right-leaning opinion personalities quite often. It's plainly clear that they get their viewpoints from various opinionated sources rather than more fact/informative based news.

My question to the liberals on here: Do you watch/follow left-leaning news opinion personalities on a regular basis? What is your general source of information on current events?

No, why would I want to follow someone just to confirm my political leanings or biases? I read The Economist because of its sustained and informed coverage of foreign affairs. I don't particularly agree with its free market economic sentiments, but the quality of journalism is almost unsurpassed and I refine my own values and beliefs in relation to the diverse and varied opinions of the columnists.

I also love the BBC, but its ability to report widely and dispassionately is sometimes undermined by unfair attacks from politicians and privately owned media outlets, and the freezing of the licence fee.
