Although I highly doubt it'll happen in my lifetime.
I do hope they'll be a society without a government or any form of hierarchy and all workers own the means of production

Sadly has done already said. It's unlikely to ever happen.
Essentially there exists four types of human nature.
The pack leader
The thinker
The conformist
And the needful
Each has their own strengths and weaknesses.
Of these four types 3 could not comfortably exist among society without a pack leader.
It's an uncomfortable truth, for many to accept . None the it is a Truth.

Your correct in that most of the Self employed have a measured amount of autonomy.
Meaning to a larger extent they have a greater perportion, of control self determining, how they work and live out their lives.
The greater degree would be if they are not financially reliant on the system.
To house , feed and clothe themselves and their family.
However if they are dependent on the system. In any of the afore mentioned ways .
They are still to be considered conformist.

@Kae20 they have a Democratic government of delegates voted in by the people. Women are in the army, everyone works in common, education is free, land is owned by everyone, women are treated with the same respect as the men.
