At this time i can't imagine anybody riding to the rescue. Not physically anyway.
Everybody has such a fractious hold on their respective countries it would probably be electoral suicide were they to commit troops to yet another protracted 'peace mission' with no guaranteed outcome.
So i expect they'll be another round of 'condemnation' from the usual suspects (U:N; NATO; E:U etc.) Followed by economic sanctions against China
