I believe any politician that votes for war should be made to send two of their beloved family members to the front lines.

Make it more than just a game of chess for the ruling class elites. Who knows, they might just reconsider their warhawking for once. But probably not.

Yes that was the problem from Vietnam on prolly before that even the wealth in this case politicians going to war but sending their own kids to evade the draft.

@Carla yes I know which is illegal (draft evasion). But we are still at war they should have to be on the battlefield like kings were to meet at the front prior to a battle for one final attempt at negotiation before battle begins. Was it king Richard that started that?

@jehova @Carla Ideally, they wouldn’t be able to dodge the draft. Imagine a military unit specifically made up of warhawking politician’s family members. It wouldn’t matter if they had bone spurs, asthma, flat feet etc… they would be dispatched to the front lines asap regardless. And if they abandoned their posts, then we’d throw the politicians themselves into the fray. It could end all wars if implemented across the globe.

Could also make for an interesting Black Mirror episode 🤔

Funny how Americans posture and rattle their swords, but as soon as one American dies in combat, they turn around and protest the very same war. It's as if in their minds, the enemy is forbidden to shoot back.

Warfare doesnt work like that does it.
Politicians dont elect to go to war on the basis that they want to send loads of people to die.
There are global conditions to consider.
