Couple of points.
People shouldn't expext loan forgiveness for useless degrees such as gender studies. The degree isnt worth the lone.
When the loans were guaranteed the colleges just raised costs. Loans should be privatized.

@Patriot96 I'm fortunate to not live in a country that forces me into debt for an education in the first place.
It's in a societies interest to have an educated populace and the lesser the inequality the better.
Even other capitalist countries find this hyper individualistic notion a la everyone for themselves to be harmful.

@stratosranger Higher education always seems more left leaning no matter the country because reality has a left wing bias.
Liberalism is still capitalist and the whole systems seems broken.

@Gloomy Reality has a left wing bias?
Gloomy · F
@stratosranger yes point to various social issues and you'll see that left wing policies and advocacy has the better outcome. Within democratic processes of course and not autocratic ones.
stratosranger · M
@Gloomy It does? I lived in a blue state where left wing policies have lead to high taxes, crumbling infrastructure and urban decay, illiteracy, sky rocketing crime and laws that enable criminal activity and punish those who attempt to defend themselves. But I DO agree there was a better outcome. And that was when I moved out of that liberal cesspool.

@stratosranger So cute that you think liberals make left wing politics 😂 The whole US is very right wing no matter the party when it comes to socieconomic policies. Since Reaganomics fucked your country completly.
stratosranger · M
@Gloomy You don’t live here in America yet you know how things work? Funny how geniuses like you spend your time and all that mental acumen on websites like this. 🤣 No one is impressed with your sophomoric gibberish.

@stratosranger I do know left wing politics and yeah by reading up on politics, the overall system, talking to my friends there, ...
You guys scream "communism" and talk about Biden who is to the right of most political parties that exist in Europe

@Gloomy Don’t care what you think you know from your ivory tower. The rest of us who ACTUALLY LIVE HERE with our feet on the ground know that liberalism is death. You’re dismissed
Gloomy · F
@stratosranger I am in no ivory tower but yeah liberalism is death and so is conservatism

@Gloomy The extremes are death.

@stratosranger
They teach Cultural Marxism in those worthless, circle-jerk Ivory Towers anyway. I know, I used to work in a well known major university library's IT department. Might as well be echo chambers for the left.

@irishmolly72 What you call extreme is just normal stuff in other countries.
Like the Democrats you demonize are to the right of most political parties in power in other countries.

@Gloomy Simply not true. The very definition of left and right is different in other countries than it is in the US.
Gloomy · F
@irishmolly72 It's not that the definition is different (many believe that to be the case though) it's just that there is a far right party and a center right party to chose from.
The US has other political fractions but they have zero chance in this so called "democracy"
