It's in a societies interest to have an educated populace and the lesser the inequality the better.

I lived in a blue state where left wing policies have lead to high taxes, crumbling infrastructure and urban decay, illiteracy, sky rocketing crime and laws that enable criminal activity and punish those who attempt to defend themselves.
