Safe injection sites are the best way to reduce the stigma associated with drug use. These facilities provide a safe and hygienic environment for drug users to inject their substances under the supervision of trained medical staff. By creating a non-judgmental space, safe injection sites can help reduce the social exclusion and discrimination associated with addiction. Furthermore, by promoting hygiene and harm reduction strategies, these facilities can also help prevent the spread of bloodborne diseases like HIV and Hepatitis C. Overall, safe injection sites are an important step towards reducing the stigma associated with drug use and promoting public health.
They should be available in every city. The War on drugs is and was a massive failure. It's time to choose a different path, one that saves lives and improves society by taking care of its weakest.

Nobody forced you to try in the first place It was a choice It'll always be YOUR choice regardless
And before you ask i have experience One so called addiction i have (i was diagnosed) i can stop when i chose to The other i don't want to stop so i continue to enjoy it
@pdockal There is indirect coercion poverty, experiences with violence and abuse, lack of support, etc....
Individual choices exist but people like you love to ignore strong societal and environmental factors and even if people make poor choices doesn't mean there should be no support systems in place.
@pdockal Everyones actions kinda matter to overall society and communities since the dawn of humanity rely on solidarity a concept alien to right wingers such as yourself.
No if we make it accessible and safe we save lives, are able to get people easier into treatment, etc... it has been proven to work in contrary to punishment, stigma and the war on drugs in general.
Cause societies that abolish support systems lack social cohesion and suffer severe inequality that manifest itself negatively in many ways.
@pdockal Weren't you the one whining about gay couples and penguin books for kids?
"Your" money is also used for infrastructure and other projects. I already explained how little value the "bad choices" argument has and you not wanting money to go to programs that save lives reveals your character.
There is no Socialism in the US and only few socialist policies implemented in other countries. People actually aren't coddled the opposite is happening and it doesn't work. Offensive stuff thrown down your throat? I'm no liberal but your characterisation of liberals is probably way off and you don't understand how societies work
Are you in the US ? Don't tell me about what programs are available! There is a socialistic agenda happening all around me I'm entitled to my opinions regardless of yours The infrastructure is crumbling around me The DOT has lists of deficient bridges which are being neglected because of politics and lack of funds
That's the best insult you can throw my why ... not much of an insult as insults go
Bastard .... hmmm .... didn't realize i didn't have a father ... thank you for enlightening me ... would have be totally lost without your insight and vast knowledge
You defending US military spending and probably the crimes committed by your country in the past is worrying. Your lack of knowledge on sociology and your lack of empathy with other people are the real issue.
Highly educated and mature people refrain from throwing insults
I deal in reality not probably! I'm not defending any crimes! I'm asking for MORE military spending because there are terrorists and dictators in the world who hate us!
You should worry about YOUR country not MINE !
your in charge of setting the standards of empathy ?
