Two conservative supreme court justices sided with black voters and voting rights today.

How do you Trump voters like that? I bet that really pisses you off. Don't go and try to hang them like you did with Pence now please.

LOL, so the minorities get one congressional district, which means one congressman, instead of their votes being spread out over several districts, enabling the minorities to have several congressmen. Great idea, got any more like it?

You got it backwards.

What the state legislature had done was diluted the votes of black voters by spreading them out into districts where a majority of white voters tended to elect Republicans.

Right now Alabama has 7 congressional districts: 6 Republicans and 1 Democrat.

Chances are now that in 2024, Democrats will be able to elect 2 members.
The extensive record in these cases supports the District Court’s conclusion that plaintiffs’ §2 claim was likely to succeed under Gingles*. As to the first Gingles precondition, the District Court correctly found that black voters could constitute a majority in a second district that was “reasonably configured."
Read this s-l-o-w-l-y and v-e-r-y c-a-r-e-f-u-l-l-y.

SCOTUS found that the state legislature spread out black voters so much into other districts with their gerrymandering scheme to PREVENT a SECOND black majority district being able to elect a member.
