The people and political preferences.

Truth be known, no political party has the people's best interests at heart. When it comes to general elections/local elections etc. They just try to paint a pretty picture just to get your vote. Don't be fooled. ALL politicians are corrupt, some may have some more favourable policies and ideas, but when it boils down to it, most are in it for their own gains.

So don't get hung up on one party, thinking they're going to make a difference or change things for the good.
It won't, they won't. An interest in politics is one thing, an obsessive outlook (posting about it continually) is boring and unhealthy.

The reality is.....
The most vulnerable within society are at the bottom of their priorities.
Minority groups, aren't a priority either.
The wealthy/Elite are what matters to the government.

Money is what motivates them.

The rest of us have to sit and watch, while those with power destroy the world.

Yup. Certainly since the dawn of this nation. The ink wasn't dry on the Constitution before the founding father began pursuing their own interests in government and power.

So we know this to be true. What's your solution? If this isn't the way things are supposed to work, what are you helping to do to change it? Don't say nothing will work, because politics as an invention and tool of, for and by the citizens. Hard to complain we're careening out of control but refuse to take the wheel.

@Graylight The answer could possibly be a coalition. Though unlikely that would happen. I personally think the people will soon take matters into their own hands. The cost of living crisis is taking its toll on the people. Too many people are living below the bread line. The government is doing very little to rectify this.... their priorities lie elsewhere.

@Lanie78 I would agree with you on that. People - and good, normally upstanding, rule-abiding people - are being asked too much and obedience to the legislation of mad men isn't something easily forced.

If the conservatives and those who would hold back the progress of this country and the welfare of the people within want a revolution, they can be handily given one. I am done bowing to fascists and children.
