@spjennifer True. It takes a lot more wrongs that that. Fortunately Republicans seem to have an endless supply of wrongs to draw on and may well have two right wings before they go extinct..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman The beginning of their demise is when they brought the original Tea Party loons into the fold in a foolish attempt to save their already declining and split Party. John McCain taking on stoopid Sarah as his running mate was just the start of a compromise that may well see them go extinct for good!

@spjennifer Somehow the Republicans left behind the basic principle of a political party. Start with the values of a large group of voters and reflect them to get elected.. The actual number of voters who stand for current Republican values doesnt include the centre. And the more you hollow out the centre the more people are ending up identifying as working class or poor. (Or in America it can be both)😷

@whowasthatmaskedman Sadly it now appears as if the current crop of Repuglicans actually do seem to reflect those who voted for them. tRump made it Ok for the white supremacists, christian nationalists, misogynists, ignoramuses and racists to come back out from under the rocks they live under and vote for him. We'll see what happens in 2024 but I suspect it isn't going to be pretty...
