George Santos

Wire fraud, money laundering, embezzlement, and more to come. Much more.

Eh, a lot of Republicans started backing away from him when all of his fraud started coming out. I think this guy mostly represents the gullibility of their voters and not really the Republican party itself.

I'm not particularly a fan of the GOP but I'm not going to judge them too harshly for this one unless they start circling wagons to protect him.

@ViciDraco
George Santos represents the appalling ignorance, the profound incompetence, and the ungodly arrogance of the American Voters who enabled and went along with him

@ViciDraco there's a bipartisan consensus that he's crossed some line.

since i'm not a lawyer, I'm perplexed by this question: at what point do statements made during a campaign cross the line and become criminal fraud to obtain high office? Some examples over the years . . .

1. I will build a wall and get mexico to pay for it.
2. I will have the NIH cure cancer
3. I will win the war in Vietnam
4. I will win the war in Korea
5. I will not send japanese americans to concentration camps
6. I will govern in a centrist, non partisan manner for the benefit of all citizens.

@SusanInFlorida it is because he messed with rich people's money. The big rule in Washington is to not upset the major donors.

@ViciDraco i hear that. it's why so many people don't see any difference between the two parties.
