Saw that earlier. Mind-blowing.
Not to do the the "they" thing but polls like this make it pretty clear. Maybe it's more of a human thing than a political thing. Seems like "they're" not fighting for anything. They fight against things. Including what it's in their own best interest. And the reason seems obvious me.
In the most black and white terms, some people live theirs lives with optimism and strength and others live through pessimism and fear. They have different leaders and are fed and/or consume different perspectives. It hits home in varying degrees but that's the jumping off point. Fear or strength. And all the corresponding streams that feed those characteristics.
Maybe we'll evolve towards optimism and strength. On a societal and genetic level. Weed out the fear. But we're a long, long way from that.
