@Ontheroad what about ny though? I mean, they sent a delegation there for a hearing about crime and everything. 🙄
Ontheroad · M
@Carla per capita, NY is the second lowest with 3.7 per 100k people.
Carla · 61-69, F
@Ontheroad yes, it is.
And while republican lawmaker's constituents are dropping from gunshot wounds, they are harrassing nyc about "violent crime". Because financial crimes don't count.

@Ontheroad now, post the cities that all the deaths occur in and who the mayor is and what party they belong to and then you might see things how they really are

@Prison1203 How things really are? The list is the top ten states for gun deaths per capita. You are more likely to die a gun death in one of those states than if you are in New York (NYC), California (Los Angeles and San Francisco), or Illinois (Chicago). Facts are facts, even if you don't like them.
Prison1203 · 61-69, M
@windinhishair yes, also in a democrat run city IN THAT RED STATE, Mr.obtuse
Prison1203 · 61-69, M
You also have to look at the per capita in those states, you take out Chicago, New Orleans, Oakland, Los Angeles I’ll add New York in also and Atlanta look at the per capita in those cities compared to the whole state, if you drop all those cities off the list of gun homicides, we drop to almost 9 or below in the world
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Prison1203 Most cities are run by Democrats because there are more Democrats in cities. And there are fewer gun deaths per capita than the national average in New York City, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. And many less than in the 10 states listed above.

You may apologize now, Mr. Obtuse. Or is it Mr. Denial?
Prison1203 · 61-69, M
@windinhishair I guess you missed the facts that if you take the TOP DEMOCRAT KILLING FIELDS RUN CITIES out of play in the
per capita, we have a lower murder rate than most of the world, what’s the per capita in New York if you take out all the democrats run cities? Same with California,Louisiana,Georgia,Illinois and Kansas and Missouri? Remove all the democrat cities off the per capita list and see how much the red states drop
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Prison1203 I guess you missed the fact that PER CAPITA gun deaths are lower in some big cities than in rural red states. New York City, for example, has a gun death rate of 3.5 per hundred thousand people. In Mississippi it is 33.9. You are almost ten times more likely to die by gun in Mississippi than in NEW YORK CITY. And if you take New York City out of the data pool, THE PER CAPITA GUN DEATH RATE FOR THE US WILL GO UP. Same for Los Angeles and San Francisco. That's because the gun death rate in these DEMOCRAT RUN CITIES is less than the national average, so taking them out increases the gun death rate for the rest of the country as a whole.

Look, we understand your hatred for people that live in cities, and for democrats, but you really need to educate yourself on what PER CAPITA means and how statistics work. Taking every DEMOCRAT RUN CITY out of the data set will do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to the per capita data for Mississippi. It will still be 33.9 gun deaths per 100,000 people, because it is based on data SOLELY for Mississippi, not aggregate data for cities you detest. All of the other states in that top ten list will also remain the same.

Educate yourself, before it is too late.

@Ontheroad I would call BS on that . Chicago has more gun deaths than most 3rd world countries, and yet Illinois is not on the list . 🤔🤔🤔
Theyitis · 36-40, M
@TexChik Chicago also has more population than a lot of third world countries. Per capita Illinois’ gun deaths are not top ten.
Ontheroad · M
@TexChik BS meaning brilliant science? You can call all you want, but facts are facts and facts lead one to understand you are wrong.
TexChik · F
@Ontheroad Hahaha nope ! Lib facts and BS have lots in common . Brilliant science and liberals will never be in the same room .
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Theyitis Illinois ranks 27th in per capita gun deaths in the US, including gun deaths in Chicago.
Ontheroad · M
@TexChik ugh... I get it, I do... you aren't able to deal with facts and I'll just leave it at that.
TexChik · F
@Ontheroad Not lib facts...AKA lies. No thank you. Creepy Joe is your boy for that. Completely ignoring the most disastrous anti-gun program in the world, which just happens to be run by liberals for the past 60 years says everything that needs to be said about your truth.
Prison1203 · 61-69, M
@TexChik they don’t like real facts, it destroys their narrative

Prison1203 · 61-69, M
@Ontheroad I’ll use your own links against you, why do you think k the biggest cities with the highest gun death rates do not report?
Of the 10 US cities with the highest homicide rates in 2020—i.e., the last year of comprehensive FBI data coverage—five (Baltimore, MD; Gary, IN; Jackson, MS; New Orleans, LA; St. Louis, MO) did not report data to the FBI in 2021.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Prison1203 Thank you for posting data on gun deaths. These are total deaths, not per capita deaths, and since most people in the US live in urban areas, they are not useful for comparison. How about using the per capita data which do exist?
Prison1203 · 61-69, M
@windinhishair I’m showing the hypocrisy of the left, they tend to use all gun deaths as the same, which they absolutely are not
Prison1203 · 61-69, M
@windinhishair look up at the post where the cities with the HIGHEST CRIME RATES AND MURDER RATES DID NOT REPORT, why is that? Could it be democrat cities
