Jist imagine if NY courts made conditions of Trumps bail,

No direct nor indirect social media, including his own brand Untruth social, and confinement to Trump tower on electronic home monitoring with the exception of scheduled court appearances.

They should have: he is both a flight risk (in the literally sense as he owns a 757 and figuratively since he is friends with dictators of countries which don't extradite) as well as a danger to public safety (Jan 6).
A cell in an abandoned block on Rikers Island would have been better than tRUMP tower: more secure

@thisguy20 I can't believe he was not given a gag order from the start, that was very disappointing, the judge effed up
@SW-User The way I see it, the Judge is giving Trump enough rope to hang himself.
During Tuesday's arraignment in Manhattan, Acting New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan warned the former president not to make comments or engage in conduct that has the "potential to incite violence, create civil unrest, or jeopardize the safety or well-being of any individuals."
We'll see if Trump can keep withing those parameters. If he can, all is well. If he can't, then Trump himself will have proven the need for a gag order.

BTW, be patient. This is just the side show. The main three ring circus will involve attempted election tampering in Georgia, misappropriation of Top Secret documents and obstruction of justice regarding their recovery, and incitement of insurrection.

@ElwoodBlues my thinking is if he had a gag order from the start, that would be real rope, with real gallows, which he'd already have hung himself with by now ... even Roger Stone couldn't shut up with his own gag order

what this judge did instead, to me, seems like a proto-gag order, wtih no actual consequences

Sounds way better than be forced to be with you 🟦
@jackjjackson Nope. Just observing facts.

The numbers skyrocketed while WJC was in the WH. @LeopoldBloom
@jackjjackson Yep. Clinton wasn't exactly a liberal. He was a corporatist.

It may be unfair to blame the senile Ronald Reagan for a trend whose roots go back to the 1950s when the rate of unionization started falling. Once workers could no longer collectively bargain for their wages and benefits, it was only a matter of time until wealth was concentrated into the hands of a tiny elite, with the middle class turning into a slightly more comfortable segment of the lower class. We are basically living in a new robber baron era. The first one was followed by a progressive era, so I'm hopeful that things will turn around eventually, although probably not in our lifetimes.
I'd be happy with that because as of now, I don't think he's going to get any punishment.
They don’t usually do that for defendants in these types of crimes.
