redredred It's true that Americans spend more on meds than any other country. However, if we look at other countries that spend a lot on meds, they don't have more shootings than the countries that spend less. If this was the issue, then we should see more cases of shootings as a direct correlation to the issues you mentioned.
But I do agree that mental illness probably plays a role, being coupled with access to guns. If that's the case, why not support policy that addresses this? If your stance is that it's all about mental health, then vote for mental health policies.
