Do u believe that racism has ruined the Republican Party ? 🏳️🏴

It appears to me that the energy of Trumpism is still lingering around today. Humanity means we are all human. It means that we should all be treated fairly and properly. It means that we should have the decency to treat everyone with dignity and respect. What this video indicates is that some people in this nation are moving backward instead of forward. You would think that at this point the ones who do hate would hide it after everything we have seen during Covid 19. But even with all of the tragic and disgusting things we have seen since the year 2020, it is quite obvious that some simply have not changed. The Republican Party of the Reagan era is no more. No more moderation. No more formality. No more non biased politics. It is now the party of extremism. And I don't see this changing anytime soon. This is the result and the aftermath of Trumpism. And the party as we now know it, is going downhill. Do you agree ?

Racism is a big factor. Some white folk are freaked out by the fact that in a few years they will be the minority after running the country for centuries.

I mean, if the rule up until now has been respectful, thoughtful, empathetic and erred on the side of the common man and the citizen in need, what do they have to fear? They can now just sit back and enjoy the fruits of their labor as others take the wheel. Or…or is it they realize how they’ve treated other groups and they’re terrified of being subjected to that kind of treatment?

@Graylight Do you mean slave labor. The fear that some people have are only because they themselves cannot conceive a world that is ran mainly by people of color. And if anyone does have a problem with that it's because they simply are a racist.

@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays It’s not true that whites will be a minority in a few years, they just won’t be the majority anymore. A plurality of Americans will still be white.

@Graylight maybe treatment & behavior is more of an issue than race itself. Doesn’t matter if it’s retaliatory for years of abuse or current situations. In a perfect world, if all cared more for others, I think skin color would become a non issue. Unfortunately, we are not a perfect world!
