Meanwhile, in Florida...

...it turns out the white supremacists are the most intelligent demographic.

Images like this have been springing up on the sides of buildings in a large projection scheme. Problem is, a fair amount of the population think it’s an improvement.

That is the CSX building in Jacksonville, FL. The image of the cross and swastika were projected onto the building by a third party. CSX itself has condemned the action.

In response to this, the Jacksonville city council passed a resolution in January banning all projections onto buildings.

When I was growing up in the New York City area, I knew lots of Jewish families who had elderly members who had retired in Florida. If I were a Jew living in Florida, this sort of thing, especially in the current political climate, would terrify me.

@DrWatson What makes it particularly terrifying is how little a stir it’s caused down here.

It might actually help, though, if we started treating Christian conservatism as what it is: Naziism.
Ynotisay · M
Yep. That's projection all right.
Projection intended to make the weakest, most insecure and abject failures in life feel strong in the face of their cowardice.
Yeah all Desantis fans like seeing Nazi symbols 💩💩💩
@BritishFailedAesthetic

lol you're such a clumsy troll. Please refine your craft.
@Pikachu 🥱 I certainly won't be choosing you anymore.

Florida has become a cesspool.
Intelligence? So you probably think Tesla is a smart ride -. Ecosystem concerns aside?

@Roundandroundwego You don’t think we have planning and urban development success? But everyone else does? You think car accidents are somehow an indication of a bad nation? You think only US citizens have obesity issues?

You’re so cute; you really buy all the anti-American BS. Or you’d like to, if you didn’t know better. The US ranks 3rd in the world for infrastructure, ahead of the UK, France and Canada.

In November 2021, Congress approved the largest federal investment in decades. We’re not even in the top 60 for vehicle accidents (although I don’t know what that proves) and obese? Not in the top 10. Depending on how it’s measured, barely in the top 20.

So thanks for your snide and pretentious advice and wisdom, but yeah, we got this. You work on your own place. Got a serious troll problem over there.

@Graylight the walkable cities with thriving night life don't exist. That's failure. You win. You want only this and nobody can stop you from imposing it.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Roundandroundwego Yes, we have no nightlife. Everyone is safely shuttered inside by sundown. The wind blows so cold and we're hungry since we've eaten all the birds in the trees. If only some hay would blow by to start a fire...

Please. You've either clearly never set foot on these shores or you aren't someone who's going to benefit from nightlife in any land.
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
Is that for real?
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@deadgerbil Disgusting.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@deadgerbil It is absolutely, utterly true, and I was remiss not to include a link, though they can be found all over the internet.

@JimboSaturn It is,but has nothing to do with DeSantis and Republicans. I guess because its Florida, its easy to make the association in some people's mind.

Looks like a giant campaign ad.

Is that real?
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Harmonium1923 It is, but has nothing to do with DeSantis or Republicans. But apparently because it happened in Florida, some people will lazily make the association in their mind.
