@WhisperingAngel And if the votes are there that's exactly what would happen. The drag is that the very people who would be better off if that were to take place voted for those who will make sure it doesn't happen. They'll never wake up to how they kiss the hand that beats them.

@LordShadowfire Real Americans do know at least one or two things that are in the federal constitution. Which foreign country are you based in?

Article 1 Section 7 = "All bills for raising revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with amendments as on other Bills."

So, per the federal constitution, the President may express a desire to raise or lower taxes but he has to get his stooges in the House of Representatives to write it in a bill, which has to be approved by the House and the Senate before he can make it happen by signing it into law.

If you are a real American you should know that basic fact. If you are a foreigner then you should Google the topic before commenting on it so that you won't appear to be completely ignorant about the topic. Otherwise you will expose yourself as a foreigner.
