Florida "don't say gay"

In Florida, can a 3rd grade teacher give a lesson that talks about the marriage between Abraham Lincoln and Mary Todd?

Can a 3rd grade teacher give a lesson that talks about the marriage of Elton John and David Furnish?

Seems to me if the law says discussion of sexual orientation is prohibited younger than 3rd grade, it should also include discussion of the heterosexual sexual orientation.

You joke - but this is a serious question. I don't see how one can write or enforce such a law without being discriminatory. Maybe that is what the Florida GOP wants - to discriminate? I'm sure Florida parents would be up in arms if their kid told them they learned about Elton's husband in school, but wouldn't give a crap if their kid told them they learned about Pat Nixon.
@trollslayer Or Cheney's daughter...........or Reagans son..........but then again it's only a horrible travesty to hear of such a thing..........until it happens to them or in their family personally. Then it's shhhhhhhh...its all cool now.
