Liberals SHOCKED that "unaccompanied minors" are being exploited in the USA . . .

https://dnyuz.com/2023/02/25/alone-and-exploited-migrant-children-work-brutal-jobs-across-the-u-s/

Last year those on the political left were outraged that “unaccompanied minors” were finding it difficult to illegally enter the USA. So various executive orders and court decisions flooded the country with these kids.

THIS YEAR, the left is outraged that these same minors are working illegally in factories and farms.

Check out the link above. Some kids were allowed entry in to “rejoin” relatives they had never actually met before in their lives. Is it any wonder they made no effort to find these kin, and immediately hit the bricks looking for work?

Okay . . . the link above is focused on kids working a cereal factory. In restaurants. NYC Food delivery. Now imagine the kids the NYT reporters DIDNT find. The "sex workers". Drug mules. Captive nannies and maids, like the ones which elites in Saudi Arabia and China have.

What we have here is a failure of basic logic. If thousands of kids enter the USA without their parents, are given a slip of paper and told to report back in two months, what did anyone EXPECT was going to happen? Certainly our “open borders” activists and media didn't have a clue.

Now these kids are a “scandal”. There is outrage that people would actually hire then. The "villains" are supposedly the places that employ them. Not the people who opened the borders, then turned their backs on them.

Morons make a mess, then point the finger at everyone else.

Full disclosure – NYC now has an estimated 1,500 illegal/unlicensed pot dispensaries. And even a door-dash style marijuana delivery service. How many underaged kids do you think are involved in things like THIS? While you're at it, why not check out those hotels which NYC converted to emergency housing for illegals? I betcha people could buy drugs, or time with an underaged girl there. . . How else do you think they're making money?

They’re not outraged and shocked that it happens. This is hardly earth-shattering information. They’re outraged because it keeps happening.

And, your racism is showing again.

@Graylight what part of my post is racist. think carefully. people are watching.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@SusanInFlorida They are, and I'd guess they already know. but for edification:

@Graylight it's not racist to point out crime occurs in places where refugees are crowded together without hope or money. whether thats in africa, the middle east, or north america.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@SusanInFlorida The word "illegals" is reductive and disassociated. You assume "illegals" frequent in crime rather than hard work. Child sex trafficking, drug trafficking. Because that’s how “illegals” make money. No other way. Not with legitimate jobs or hard labor or getting up at 4am to be the first for-hire guy on the corner. You know, just “bad hombres.”

If you still can’t see the problems inherent in this statement, I urge you to look into racism more carefully. You don’t have to wear a shirt with a label to be that thing.
SusanInFlorida · 31-35, F
@Graylight i call them illegal aliens because that's what they are, in fact. i call pedophiles, pimps, drug dealers, carjackers, and murderers out too. Irrespective of race, religion, gender, or ethnic group.

setting aside one ethnic group as immune from criticism in the public forum is "reductive", not the use of language which commonly applies to everyone else in the same circumstance.
FragileHeart · 22-25, M
@SusanInFlorida You put pedos, drug dealers and murderers in the same category as "illegals"?

"Illegal aliens" is not only an incredibly offensive term but also a dehumanizing one.
SusanInFlorida · 31-35, F
@FragileHeart so - you pretend to be unaware of the political movements to legalize all narcotics, remove age restrictions on sexual activity, etc.?

how convenient for you.
FragileHeart · 22-25, M
@SusanInFlorida Deflection but i'll respond.

Legalizing or at least decriminalizing and controling certain drugs does not only take away a big part of the black market and puts dealers out of business it also makes it easier to regulate and help people while making profit that goes into the system. Other countries have already taken steps in that direction with positive results.
The age restriction thing is tied to the "groomer" lie you conservatives get spoon fed with i imagine?🙄
Graylight · 51-55, F
@SusanInFlorida Quick - define a "pedo." Someone who likes kids? Someone who dates 16 year olds? Someone who thinks but never acts? What's the going definition?

Quick, describe to me how legalizing drugs with appropriate co-measures is bad. Get the studies lined up, because I have a library that will contradict you.

And guess what? There’s no age restriction on sex. Kids have been doing it since the beginning of time.

While we’re here, show me that the “illegals” are responsible for all this crime, because research demonstrates not only that they don’t, but that they commit much less crime that US citizens (which common sense would suggest).

Illegal immigration is a misdemeanor offense. Like jaywalking. Like breaking a noise ordinance. Deportation is the consequence for someone who overstays a visa, not a criminal penalty. It’s not until someone tries re-entry that federal law imposes criminal penalties.

Half of these “bad hombres” living in the U.S. file income taxes with ITINs (Individual Tax Identification Numbers). With them, they contribute $11.6 billion in taxes every single year. $7 billion goes into Social Security.

But you choose to take a human being with struggles and stressors you can’t conceive of, you consider him as a whole 360 human and then choose to reduce him to an “illegal.” And you ask what’s wrong with that.

@Graylight a pedophile is someone who breaks the law by making sexual advances toward people who legally (and intellectually/developmentally) unable to consent to sexual activity.

If you want to change the law - go get busy. But in the meantime, live within it. In a democracy we're not supposed to willfully break every law that's a barrier to our personal gratification.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@SusanInFlorida No. Pedophilia falls within the realm of paraphilic disorders family. it is age-specific, symptom specific. There are other disorders that address other ages and symptoms. You don’t get to make up definitions as you see fit. Rather, as you say, you should “live within” them.

Researchers reports a 5-24% recidivism rate after 15 years. The rate among all criminals across the US is 44%.

@Graylight really - some people say it's a crime. other's that it's an incurable mental illness. how about bestiality? necrophilia? porn addiction?
Graylight · 51-55, F
@SusanInFlorida Who says it's incurable? And nearly everyone says the act is a crime. Porn addiction doesn't exist in the professional world. The other examples are other disorders and this isn't a psychology class.
